LGS Landscapes provides garden design, installation and maintenance services in the Triangle and North Chatham County. My mission is to create gardens that address the stylistic and aesthetic desires of my clients, while incorporating the native plants and habitat features required for wildlife to thrive. It is my belief that native plants can be just as relevant in a formal garden as they can in a wildflower meadow—it just takes a little skill and imagination to re-envision what our landscapes can look like when we design them to serve functions beyond beauty.

While the planning and design services I provide are scalable to any project, my installation and maintenance services are reserved for residential and modestly sized commercial properties. If anything that you’ve read resonates with you, I’d really love to hear more about your project and see if we’re a good match.

Is there anything more cheerful than a greenhouse full of pink hydrangeas?

About proprietor Laura Smith

Laura trained planting design at the London College of Garden Design, and counts among her proudest professional accomplishments serving with the horticultural management team at Central Park in New York City. When she’s not working, she’s volunteering at NCBG in the nursery or doing bird friendly yard certifications for the New Hope Audubon Society. She firmly believes there is a native plant for every situation.
